When I was a kid I used to spend two weeks of my summer holidays at a small village at the Baltic sea coast. There were beautiful golden sand beaches there. But I always preferred another place (several kilometers to the east) where I could find treasure troves of colorful stones like that. Every summer I tried to smuggle some of them into our luggage and bring them home. Every summer I negotiated with my Dad who'd eventually let me choose three of them provided it was me who actually carried them in my knapsack on our way back home (no family car then ment 12-hours journey by bus and train but I didn't mind that). Many years later I revisited the place with my daughter. Fortunately she was not that interested in collecting stones so I took some photos instead. ----- Olympus C-220Z Taken 20 years ago with my first digital camera.
