I spotted this ivy climbing up a tree adjacent to the Mill Pond at Langstone Harbour. I particularly liked the different colours of the ivy leaves.

The Mill Pond, Langstone Harbour

Taken in between heavy rain showers back in June. Unfortunately access is not possible for the whole of the pond as this is part of a protected reserve. The trees at the back are a popular roosting and nesting site for a colony of Egrets and the occasional Grey Heron. Unfortunately, they are too far away to photograph as I don't have a lens long enough! Please view large on black.

The white birds are Egrets........there are usually a couple of dozen nesting there. We also get Grey Herons nesting most years.
