Taken in mid October during a walk in some local woodland. This will be the last photo I post in 2022 (although I still have lots more taken this year to post yet)! Some nice golden brown colours emerging. Taken at Alice Holt Arboretum about 3 weeks ago.

The bracken is dying off and turning golden brown, but in this part of the forest the trees are mainly evergreen, so there won't be much change. Best viewed large, on black. Thank you.

Inspired by Judith's super photo she posted a couple of days ago, we decided to have a day in the New Forest to check out the heather. Running a bit late tonight, so may not have time do any commenting........will catch up tomorrow :-)

This clump of fern has not even started to turn brown yet, despite nearly every tree and plant nearby having done so.
