Keith Burton's photos with the keyword: vase

We were clearing out a kitchen cabinet a while ago when we found some left over, and out of date marshmallows. Rather than throw them away immediately, I decided to use them in a photo with a couple of other props.

All the components here were from a charity shop. The background is a sheet of art paper and this was taken in natural window light. I took this back in February and forgot to post it. Better late than never ;-)

The flowers are from my garden.........they were battered down by the heavy rain showers we've been having and were lying flat on the lawn. There are still plenty left though!

The blossom had fallen off a tree at the end of my road. I think it's some kind of ornamental cherry. Luckily it matched a small vase I already had in my props box.

A simple, but I hope elegant, still life image. The bluebells are from my garden....they're not the native species but the Spanish variety, which are considered invasive. They're very pretty though.

I set this up using a cutting from one of the council-owned trees that was hanging over my back fence, and adding my own butterflies :-) Try viewing large on black if you have the time and inclination.

These flowers are often confused with Snowdrops. I have quite a few in my garden each year.

I was collecting the seeds from my Nigella (Love in a Mist) seed heads this morning and it seemed like a good idea to photograph them as well. Taken indoors in natural window light with a sheet of yellow card as a background.

These Nigella were growing in between cracks in the paving and tarmac in my back garden, and they needed to be pulled up before they went to seed, so I decided to put them in a vase and photograph them. There are many more in the garden (growing in the proper place), so I won't miss these. Taken indoors using natural window light. The background is a length of wrapping paper. Thanks for looking.

Saved from my garden after it was broken down by heavy rain two or three days ago and photographed indoors.

I was stuck indoors most of yesterday waiting for our boiler to be be repaired, so I thought a bit of table top photography would pass the time. I decided to keep it simple, just a plain piece of card as a background, a nicely shaped vase and the flowers (actually from my garden this time) and plenty of negative space. Natural light from the window supplemented by an LED light panel. A portrait crop in the PiP if you fancy a look.

Taken in my garden outdoors in natural light using a small folding table and a sheet of card as a background. The egg-shaped vase again, with a handful of Common Reed Grass heads from the Mill Pond at Langstone Harbour. Simple, but effective I think. Best viewed large and hope you like it.
