Although the coif looks large on the Styrofoam head, I think the head is actually meant to mimic a childs. It works for showing items off though and it was free. The coif is based of extant blackwork patterns. I added a few spangles to it to make it sparkle. I might add more but I don't want to cover up the embroidery on the Spikes (seahorses).

My nephew is wearing a knitted brown and cream hat that I made him for the winter. It's my first knitted cap so I'm really happy with how it came out...and that it fits him!
