The finished front of the gown pinned to the unfinished bodice of the gown. I wanted to given an idea of what the dress would look like finished.

The unfinished bodice without the finished front. The lining is done but hasn't been attached to the bodice back. The straps for the red silk bodice hadn't been sewn yet. I wanted to show the ties in the front.

I made the dress Sunday night and finished putting on the trim Monday morning before going to work. I ended up wearing the dress to work Monday with a pair of red tights. The dress hits right below my knees -it's not nearly as long as it looks!- and is a babydoll styled bodice dress. The skirt is a half circle skirt attached to the bodice. I bought the jacket at Forever 21 and decided I needed a dress to match it for work!

The back of the first mock up. I ended up having to take some room out of the back and redesign the sides. My old pattern for a Regency gown and the lines of the one I was trying to recreate were very different. I ended up creating a new pattern for the dress.
