I'll be taking a social media vacation, folks. See y' in a few weeks.

After yesterday, today's temperatures seem (almost) mild. But there's this white stuff coming down. I may just stay in the house. When I lived in Kalamazoo, we always claimed that the real Lake Effect ended around Paw Paw. While there's some truth to that, another truth is that much of Lower Michigan's weather is directly affected by Lake Michigan. Witness today's snow. On the other hand, many of my friends and relatives are being hit far harder by today's snow than we Lansing-area folks, since they live closer to The Lake.

And he's discovered the new feeder.

But the food's hiding under the overnight snow....

Mayhap I'll just shoot out the picture window for a while....

Although this fella's often around, he generally prefers to peck at our most distant suet cake. So when he came and chased a Blue Jay off the pedestal feeder I grabbed the camera. Dull light today. But sometimes you just gotta.
