I bow my old head …

I bow my old head to the water, with the weight of the young on my back. Chronicle Of Vital Individual Distancing, day 13. The Poynton Pond does seem to be deforesting its banks as it undermines the tree roots. A number of them have just given up and fallen into the water, where they provide good refuge for the water fowl. [Picture creation: SilkyPix Developer Studio Pro 9 and Affinity Photo.]

July 1981, St Agnes, Cormwall. Yashica-Mat TLR, Ilford FP4 film developed in Ilford ID11. This Yashica Mat was, according to its serial number, manufactured in March of 1962. The model was apparently manufactured in a run from 1958 to 1970ish. It has a Copal MXV shutter (1 sec to 1/500 sec plus B) an 80mm f3.5 Yashinon taking lens and an 80mm f3.2 View Yashinon viewing lens.

Bedside Reading - and Tonal Range

General reflected light reading (Gossen Sixtomat) agreed with the Bronica EA II prism finder, so it was followed. Up-close readings suggested (roughly) that the pillows were going to be 1 stop under exposed and the lamp area 3 stops over exposed, and I guessed that the shadows would just fade-out to black somewhere. This is the last frame of my Bronica ETRS Project test film 2, shot mainly to check the 'spare' ETR style film back. Before winding on the film back was removed (with its dark slide) and waved around in the light to check for light leaks; none in evidence, so now there is much rejoicing, the whole kit works well!

Le jardin des plantes et botanique de Caen

Pink splashes amongst the greenery. Caen, Normandy, France in July 2014. I usually avoid high contrast like this but it seems to fit the scene and certainly reflects the very brief period of intense sunlight on the day concerned.
