This was a self-portrait I took for a challenge group when the theme was "Film Noir." Seeing as how old film noir detective movies are some of my favorites, I dressed up like a private eye and stood out in front of the old Greyhound bus station one night. This was one of the original shots before I converted it to black and white. The bus depot is located in Evansville, Indiana. Taken on May 30th, 2017.

Taken on May 30th, 2017.

I picked up a sheet of these stamps today and they feature the cartoon dog sleuth, Scooby Doo. I hadn't realized they had been released.

"Don't Dig Deeper," By William Francis. Another classic hardboiled detective novel that is a favorite of mine. Like the blurb at the top says, "A townful of mobsters - a sin-crazy woman - COULD ONE MAN TAKE THEM BOTH?" How could you not love something with a description like that?
