Caution

The town I live in is putting new water lines along the street where I live. These are some barricades to mark a hole they dug toward that end, just at the edge of my driveway. Live Free Or Die

A Harley-Davidson sticker on the back of my motorhome. Riding motorcycles could also be like the R.V. life and motoring along the open roads. They don’t make film for these cameras any more, and I never shot with one in the first place. So, I have no idea what kind of film it was or what it looked like, or whether it came in a cartridge or pack. I built up the edge of the film plane a little bit by cutting some thin strips of cardboard to glue along where the “negative” area was. I’m pretty sure that, since it was an instant film camera, the film didn’t rest right on those ridges. Most likely a little way off them to achieve the right focus. I used two thinknesses of cardboard on both the top and bottom where the negative sat, but I should have used only one thickness on each side, because the focus is off. The area where the film rides was also slightly smaller than the height of the film gate, so I had to trim a little of the film to get it to fit inside the camera. I ended up cutting through the sprocket holes on one side to get it to fit. But, I got it to produce a picture. Tomato Plants

14 Nov 2024 114
These are a couple tomato plants I’ve been growing in my library since last July 2022. They're starting to have a few tomatoes ripen and in fact, I picked the first three just last week. It’s been a fun experiment and now there are dozens of blooms and at least a dozen or so tomatoes getting bigger and bigger and ready to ripen. An experiment I can really sink my teeth in! Cardinal Lane In Pinhole

The start of the little lane across the street that goes around the houses that line the street where I live. It’s called Cardinal Drive. The reason the picture is crooked is because I used some cut-down 120 film and it's hard to tell in the dark when you're loading it if you got it straight or not. Taken with my eighty-seventh camera. Camera: PringCam 1.0 pinhole camera Film: Fuji Film Neopan Acros 100 120 size (expired) Pinhole size: .15mm Aperture: F/1747 Exposure length: 1 minute Date: May 19th, 2023, 1.52 p.m. Location: Norris City, Illinois, U.S.A. 16mm

A spool of 16mm film taken with a 16mm camera. The film is some old Russian Svema film that expired in 1982. I’ve shot with it, but it’s degraded too much and the results were very splotchy. I cut down some 35mm film to use in this camera, of which only about 28,000 of them were made. This shot was taken at the camera's closest focussing range of 13 inches. A Hazy Shade Of Winter

28 Dec 2021 1 246
I dug out my very first camera and used it today. It hasn’t been used since 1978 and time hasn’t been good to it. First off, there are a few pieces missing, so I had to just cut down a single negative to shoot in it. And the lens has developed some fungus inside it, so it’s a little hazy. But, I got an image from it after all these years. This was also the first time I shot some black and white film in it. Before, I had only shot color film. Oh, and I might add - this is some winter we're having here in Southern Illinois. For the last 4 days, the temperature has been between 70 and 75 degrees. No snow for Christmas!
