This bell originally hung at the Ebenezer Methodist Church, which was built in 1838 and located about a mile from where it now sits next to this Methodist church in town. When the old church was torn down in the early 1980s, they placed the bell here as sort of an historical marker. I use this bell as a test subject when shooting with my various cameras. That's why you see it so much.
