Kodak Kodacolor Gold 200 Disc Film

19 Jul 2025 32
I bought an old Kodak disc camera and it came with four rolls...., err.... discs of expired film. This Kodak film expired back in June 1993. I am currently shooting with it in my Minolta Disc-7 disc camera. I hope it turns out.

Arbor 200 Disc Film

19 Jul 2025 24
I bought an old Kodak disc camera and it came with four rolls...., err.... discs of expired film. It had two rolls.... err.... discs of Arbor branded film. It expired back in June 1995. The best I've been able to find out, Arbor film was a store brand of a chain of drugstores called "Arbor Drugs." Whenever I shoot some of it, I'll find out if it still works or not.

The gateway to what used to be the garden area in my back yard. This little disc camera was broken until about a month ago when I managed to fix it and get it to working again. Suzy's Tropical Sno

30 Mar 2022 1 154
A local snow cone stand here in town. Another shot from some old, expired disc film that was supposed to be used and developed in 1988. As you can see, the film didn't hold up very well. I could have said something like "Suzy sells snow cones by the seashore," but decided not to. In Bloom

Flowers are starting to bloom around my yard. These are some daffodils out front that people can clearly see when they drive past. I used some cut down Kodak color film inside an old disc film cartridge. Appliance Graveyard

30 Sep 2021 218
This is my neighbor's back yard. He's in the restaurant business and apparently the local town government doesn't care about my property values anymore. I took this with one of my disc cameras and it was a convoluted process. I cut down a piece of black and white film, fit it into an empty disc cartridge, taped it into place, then put the cartridge inside my disc camera – all in the dark. Then I developed it in used Caffenol CM-RS for twice the required length. Camera: Ansco Disc HR 20 Lens: 12.5mm Film: Fuji Film Neopan Acros 100 B&W (expired in 06/2015) Aperture: f/13.5 Date: September 29th, 2021, 4.50 p.m. Location: Norris City, Illinois, U.S.A. Tank

28 Sep 2021 387
A fuel tank of some kind, and it’s just adjacent to my property. I took this with one of my disc cameras and it was a convoluted process. I cut down a piece of black and white film, fit it into an empty disc cartridge, taped it into place, then put the cartridge inside my disc camera – all in the dark. Then I developed it in used Caffenol CM-RS (that had been sitting around for two weeks), for about twice the required length. This shot didn't turn out too bad, so I can now say this is another camera in my collection that I've used and got a decent image to show for it. With some of these cameras, though, it's tough trying to figure out a way to get them to function and take a picture. Non-Dairy Days

27 Sep 2020 269
This was supposed to have been the weekend for our annual local street fair, called “Dairy Days.” But, because of the virus going around, it was not held. I did find that there were indications of it around town. There were balloons shaped like cows and decorations with cow themes, even window displays in the local stores. Here you can see the town’s lone bank decorated with a festive balloon and flower pots with spots like cows. The camera’s battery was surprisingly still working after about 40 years. It’s a good thing it was because it has to be replaced by the manufacturer – and they got out of the camera business in 2006. The film was old and expired, and didn’t hold up well. But, I did get some images from it. Camera: Minolta Disc-7 (released in 1983) Lens: glass 12.5mm, f/2.8 Film: Fotomat Color Film 200 (expired July 1988) Aperture: f/2.8 Shutter Speed: 1/200th of a second Time: September 26th, 2020, 3.58 p.m. Location: Norris City, Illinois, U.S.A. Minolta Disc-7

12 Sep 2020 345
Apparently, this could have been the best disc camera ever made. Which is not saying much because the format was so small. But, leave it to Minolta to make the best of anything. Too bad they exited the camera business.

Canned Ham

This is me hamming it up with a canned ham I just got for Christmas, while the dog next to me eyes it hungrily. Taken on December 24th, 1988 by my sister, Karla, using her Kodak Disc camera. It was her dog, too. I think his name was Puppers. Christmas 1988 08cf

Test Shot

28 Feb 2020 1 1 221
Some of my home canning. This was a test shot using an old disc camera I've had for years. Since they don't make disc film anymore and they employ a special disc which I never shot and don't have any old ones to re-use in any way, I had to improvise and cut down some 35mm film to use in the camera. Without the disc, the focal plane was off and that's what caused it to be severly out of focus. But, at least I got the camera to take a picture.
