These Mercedes-Benz vehicles all seem to be the same year. The one in the back is even a station wagon! I’ve had this camera around 40 years, but this is the very first time I’ve gotten to use it. I used 35mm film in an old 126 cartridge. This mural is located in Marion, Illinois. They are sporting several murals all over their town and it really improves the looks of their city. This was taken with an old Kodak Instamatic camera. I reused an old 126 film cartridge and reloaded it with modern 35mm film - 35mm and 126 film are the same size, just different perforations. Each year in May, I celebrate Turko de Mayo. This was 2018's version. It's my own holiday and I created it because the traditional meal we have at Thanksgiving, in November, is my favorite meal of all. By creating a holiday in May, I get to have the same foods featured in a Thanksgiving dinner twice a year. Turko de Mayo for me includes, of course, a golden brown turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green beans with smoked sausage, homemade rolls, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. It seems like an extravagant meal, but it will last me a week and a half, plus I'll put a gallon freezer bag or two full of the leftover turkey meat into the freezer to make something with later. This old Buick was still in pretty good shape. When I was developing the film, the cap came off of my developing tank and flashed the edge of the film. You can tell the light leaks along the bottom of the image.
