Ford Model A

One year, I photographed the fire truck on the right. This time I picked the Ford Model A. When I was real young, I loved riding in these kinds of rides. Economizing?

When I first moved to Norris City in 1974, Dairy Days was actual days long, instead of apparently only one day now. It would run from Wednesday to Saturday. I don't know if this sign is implying it's only one day this year, but they always had the Queen contest on Friday night so the new Queen could ride in the parade on Saturday night. Then a band would play last after the Queen contest. Non-Dairy Days

27 Sep 2020 314
This was supposed to have been the weekend for our annual local street fair, called “Dairy Days.” But, because of the virus going around, it was not held. I did find that there were indications of it around town. There were balloons shaped like cows and decorations with cow themes, even window displays in the local stores. Here you can see the town’s lone bank decorated with a festive balloon and flower pots with spots like cows. The camera’s battery was surprisingly still working after about 40 years. It’s a good thing it was because it has to be replaced by the manufacturer – and they got out of the camera business in 2006. The film was old and expired, and didn’t hold up well. But, I did get some images from it.
