I have literally said for decades that, if I were extremely wealthy, my dream car would be a 1953 Buick Skylark convertible. When I passed by this one on the road, I had to stop and go back to take a picture of it. They certainly don't make 'em like this anymore! This would be my absolute dream car for sure! This mural is located in Marion, Illinois. They are sporting several murals all over their town and it really improves the looks of their city. This was taken with an old Kodak Instamatic camera. I reused an old 126 film cartridge and reloaded it with modern 35mm film - 35mm and 126 film are the same size, just different perforations. This is the first time I’ve ran some color film through my Jiffy Kodak II. It originally took 620 film, but I loaded some 120 to feed onto an original 620 take-up spool and it worked. A mural in downtown Marion, Illinois. It features Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong. The new mayor had a plan to revitalize Marion and decided to commission murals to be painted around town. But, now he closes down the Civic Center over virus particles and there will be no concerts for a while. You won't be revitalizing anything when you do away with all your cultural and concert events.
