This is one of the latest cameras I found for my collection. I got it for only a little over $7 because it didn't work. I took it apart and found out it was suffering from the "bad capacitor" issue. I soldered in a new one and now it works like a charm!
Jazz Jelly 207

These Jazz 207 "Jelly" cameras are fun - the front of them is clear! I had been wanting one for a while to add to my Jazz 206/207 camera collection and finally picked one up last September 2023.
They take pretty quirky pictures - but in a good way.

A friend of mine knew I collected cameras and found this one and gave it to me. I now have nine of these Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash cameras.
Konica Autoreflex TC

I've had this Konica Autoreflex TC 35mm SLR almost 20 years now. When I first picked it up, it fired a couple times, then jammed up and wouldn't work anymore. I fixed it recently and finally got a good shot of the camera with a lens on it that I bought separately.
Back in the 1970s, I was my high school's yearbook photographer for a couple years and they had a camera just like this one. That's why I bought this one, because I remembered all the fun I had using the school's Konica camera.
Unknown 620 Pinhole Camera
| 25 Apr 2022 |
|
|
This is an extreme closeup of a picture that shows a cheap camera I used to have that I converted into a pinhole camera. By the shape of it, it looks like it might have been made by the Imperial Camera Corp. I know it used 620 film, because the pictures it took are all I have left of it. I must have gotten rid of it sometime because it didn't work like I wanted it to.

FujiFilm QuickSnap Disposable No. 2
| 31 Mar 2022 |
|
Back about a dozen years or so, my sister was moving and she came across about a half-dozen disposable cameras she had shot. I told her I would get all the pictures developed for her if I could keep the cameras for my collection. This is one of two Fuji disposable cameras she had.
I was trying to take this one apart so I could reload it and use it, and the lens fell out on the shag carpeting. I still haven't been able to fine it! But, I do have another camera just like this one, so I could borrow that lens when I get around to using this one.
A Hazy Shade Of Winter
| 28 Dec 2021 |
|
|
I dug out my very first camera and used it today. It hasn’t been used since 1978 and time hasn’t been good to it. First off, there are a few pieces missing, so I had to just cut down a single negative to shoot in it. And the lens has developed some fungus inside it, so it’s a little hazy. But, I got an image from it after all these years. This was also the first time I shot some black and white film in it. Before, I had only shot color film.
Oh, and I might add - this is some winter we're having here in Southern Illinois. For the last 4 days, the temperature has been between 70 and 75 degrees. No snow for Christmas!

Argus DF-300
| 26 Dec 2021 |
|
|
Another Chinese-made clone of the Minolta X-300.
I have my doubts as to whether or not this is an official clone. The name plate where "Argus" is located has rounded-off corners to the left and the right of the name. Almost as if somebody had sanded off the original name and painted on Argus instead. Another doubt comes because I have never seen another camera like this anywhere on the internet.
Update:
A contact of mine found one of these for sale, and it was the whole camera kit - camera, box, manual, etc. I guess that proves it's a legitimate clone. Thanks, Xata!
Kalimar KX 5000 No. 3

I've had this camera for about a month. When I bought it off eBay, the seller said it didn't work. I was hoping it was just the notorious "bad capacitor" issue, but it wasn't. It really is broken. But, I mainly bought it for the lens. When I received the camera in the mail - however - the lens was full of fungus or haze, which the seller didn't happen to mention. The seller didn't want to make it good, so I guess I'm stuck with a parts camera. Fortunately, I have two others just like this, if I ever need a part.
Caveat emptor.

Another recent acquisition, this XG7 is part of the Minolta XG family. It works, too!

I found this cheap little camera, brand new and still in it's original package at a local resale shop. It was marked down to $1, but they were having a tag sale, so I got it for only .50 cents. After using it, now I know why it was so cheap! It took real crappy pictures.
This picture was taken on January 21st, 2014.
Easy Shot Mini 35mm One-Time-Use Camera No. 1
| 25 May 2020 |
|
This is a camera I've had about a dozen years, it kind of got misplaced and I had never photographed it. It's one of about a half dozen I got from my sister when she was moving. She opened a drawer and found a bunch of disposable cameras and I said I would pay to have them developed if I could keep the camera.
Minolta X-7

This Minolta X-7 is part of the XG family of cameras. It came in today and I only paid $3.49 for it from KEH Camera. This model was first released in 1980. (This particular version was released in 1982.)

I still have several cameras in my collection that I haven't photograhed, and here is another one. This is just like the very first camera I got, and still have, but that first one no longer works.

I still have several cameras in my collection that I haven't photograhed, and here is another one. This one is just another disposable 35mm camera I've acquired but haven't reloaded it to use.

I only paid $3.54 for this camera and lens together - and it works fine! Now I just have to run some film through it to give a full test.
Update:
I ran a roll of black and white film through it and it works absolutely perfectly!
Polaroid Pronto!
| 06 Nov 2019 |
|
|
Back in the late-1970s, I picked up this Polaroid Pronto! instant camera real cheap at a yard sale. It didn't work and I tried to fix it. Needless to say, I was no camera repairman, so it didn't get fixed. Over the years, I must have lost the rest of the pieces because all I have left now is the faceplate.
