A closeup of a dandelion flower, and you can see that there are lots of tiny little ants all over it. Taken on May 21st, 2014 with my Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W710 digital point and shoot camera.

This is a part of the Shawnee National Forest called Pounds Hollow. It is a popular swimming area for youngsters in the summer months and features a sandy beach, a snack bar/concession stand and picnic tables for families. My Bradford Pear tree is starting to bloom again. I just love these tiny little delicate blossoms.

A very large and beautiful Butterfly species, in my opinion! On the outside of the wings, there are actual silver-colored patches!

I was chasing some wild turkeys through the woods to capture them on film when I ran into this guy. I think I surprised him. And then a fox ran in front of me. Never did manage to catch up with the turkeys, though.

This is the tree in my yard. Autumn is my favorite season of the year - can you tell?
