Pentax Bananas

This was the first shot I took with my Pentax K1000 - you can even see a little light bleed on the left of the image indicating I didn't wind it quite far enough before taking the first picture. The bananas were lit by a flourescent fixture directly above them. This was taken with the 28mm wide angle lens without the Sears 2x tele-converter. Camera: Pentax K1000 Lens: SMC Pentax-A 28mm, f2.8 Wide Angle Lens Film: Kodak 800 ISO Aperture: F/2.8 Date: February 13th, 2010 Location: Fairfield, Illinois, U.S.A.

Pentax Sock 2x

This view is what my Pentax K1000 sees when using the Sears 2x tele-converter connected to the 28mm lens I have. The other picture in this set shows the complete view the 28mm lens picks up when used without the converter attached. This view is what my Pentax K1000 sees when using the 28mm lens I have attached to it. I also have a 2x tele-converter for it and the field of view it covers is in the next picture in this set. SMC Pentax-A 28mm, f/2.8 Wide Angle Lens

A friend of mine gave me this lens several years back and I didn't have anything to put it on. Then I picked up an old Pentax K1000 for $30 off an online auction site and, voila, they worked together perfectly. The lens also came with a Sears 2x tele-converter, which is handy to double this focal length to 56mm, which is about the normal range.

This is a picture taken of my television screen and features a still from a scene that was filmed for the classic motion picture "Sunset Boulevard," but was ultimately cut from the final print. It had been over a year since I've had the smell of developing chemicals on my hands, so I cut down a few pieces of 35mm film and shot them one at a time in different cameras. You grow to miss that smell sometimes! A car I used to have - it was loaded with creature comforts and I loved it.
