Minolta XG1 No. 2

07 Jun 2016 2 2 694
This is my second Minolta XG1, one I won on a "popular online auction site" and it arrived this Saturday, May 4th, 2016. This image shows how I reattached the leather that was coming loose. It was only coming loose from around the lens, so it didn't take much to get it back to a nearly new condition. And since it came without a lens, I threw on an old lens I had just for the picture.

Minolta XG1 Leather Repair

04 Jun 2016 703
I've had this Minolta XG1 since 2006, but it was probably made in 1979. The leather on these cameras tends to come unglued, so I finally did something about it. I used contact cement and reseated the leather and it looks much better now.

Neighbors Across The Way.

This was a picture of my neighbor's house, who lived across the street from me. This was taken from my front porch with a long lens. Be sure to read the note I have placed on the picture to find out the significance of why I took it in the first place. Taken with my Minolta XG1 quite a few years back. I finished the last few frames on the roll and had them developed on July 15th, 2010. Minolta XG-1 Moon

This was the closest shot of the moon I had taken up to this point in time back in 2007. It was my first zoom lens and I was real happy to be able to expand my reach.
