Cheesy Potato Soup

I just made this Cheesy Potato Soup, garnished it with parsley and bacon bits, then photographed it. Afterwards came the tasting stage. It passed with flying colors.

Viking Meatball Soup

Since my ancestors were Vikings, I've been wanting to make this recipe for a while. I finally did make it for dinner tonight.
It was an old recipe my late Mother had written on a note card and tucked away, so I finally had a chance to make it. It's pretty hearty for a soup. It turned out so well, I'm going to make it again for a church dinner I have this weekend.
There is also a dish almost exactly like this called Norwegian Meatballs. But, of course - I chose the Viking version.

Asian Ramen Shrimp Soup
| 17 Apr 2020 |
|
With all this extra time on my hands, I've been cooking more lately. I've been making bread because I ran out of store-bought bread, and have been baking cookies once a week so I could have something sweet to nibble on. Tonight, Thursday, April 16th, 2020, I made this Asian Ramen Shrimp soup and it's more or less something I threw together from an existing recipe that I tweaked slightly.
It uses Ramen noodles and tiny shrimp that comes in a can.

This is some of the egg drop soup I enjoyed when I was at a local Chinese buffet this week. Man, I just love this stuff and even make it at home.
Turkey Vegetable Soup
| 28 Nov 2016 |
|
|
|
The week before Thanksgiving, I cooked a turkey and made a batch of turkey vegetable soup to can. This was the first batch of seven quarts out of the pressure cooker. I ended up getting 11 quarts of soup and 3 quarts of broth. (The pressure cooker holds 7 quarts at a time, so I filled up the second batch with broth to make 7 quarts.)
Japanese Onion Soup
| 30 Jul 2016 |
|
This Japanese onion soup was served at a local Japanese steak house I went to. I believe it's known as "Miyabi." It was the kind of place where the chef cut up everything and cooked it right in front of you. Very interesting place to visit.

It's good soup weather here, so I made some homemade chicken noodle soup today. This ain't for the soul, it's for my tummy!
And was it ever delicious!
