Climbing Roses

I have some lattice-work on the side of my house and these climbing roses grow up to the edge of the roof on my second story. When they're in bloom, there can be hundreds of roses like this showing at the same time. They've just started blooming in the last few days. Taken on May 20th, 2019.
It seems like I'm always noticing them for the first time each year on May 20th.
November Rose

I took this picture earlier today just before sunset. The rose bloomed out yesterday, November 1st, 2016. It's been unseasonably warm here, so that's why I still have roses blooming at this late point in the year.

Here it's almost November and I still have roses blooming. Taken on October 22nd, 2016, with my Sony SLT-a77v DSLR.

This was one of my roses I shot last year with my Sony SLT a77 DSLR. I had it set on a black and white program and then I used the Orton Effect afterwards.

I shot this around 6 a.m. this morning, (May 28th, 2015), before the sun's rays had a chance to fully illuminate my roses.

Light Leak Rose
| 09 Sep 2014 |
|
Taken with a little Mini Shot 110 camera. The reason there is a huge light leak is because I used this roll of film in 4 different cameras and kept switching it out. I only took one picture on the roll in this camera, so, so far, this is the only shot taken with this camera.

Some Say Love

The same rose I posted before, only before I did the post-processing to make it look like an old manuscript. For this version, all it had done to it was I tried using the Orton Effect on it. A friend of mine here on Ipernity turned me on to that wonderful little trick! Thanks, Norm!

Another one of my roses that bloomed the other day. I'm just practicing with different programs and effects. How else do you get better unless you practice, eh?

I shot this rose today after some showers passed through. The rain was good for the garden, that's for sure!
