The Buggs - The Beetle Beat

This is NOT my favorite group - but it's close. Released in 1964, this record company tried to cash in on The Beatles phenomenon. It didn't work.

On The Road (Again)

Somewhere in Northern Illinois while on the road touring with an old band I used to be in. Another pit stop to fill up on gas and food and then hit the road again. Taken on June 5th, 2015, with my Sony DSC-W710 digital point and shoot camera.

Nashville Econo Lodge

Back in 2015, I was touring with a band and we were booked to play a big Fourth of July celebration in Nashville, Tennessee. We were opening for Foghat, but something must have fell through, because Foghat ended up playing in Michigan that night. My band ended up playing at a club there instead. This is the hotel we stayed in after the gig. The drummer and me shared a room because him and I were in a band he had started before we both ended up joining this band. The new band wasn't working for us, so this was our last show with them and we reformed his band and we're together still. I always like to roam around at night and get pictures where I'm staying. This shot was taken on July 3rd, 2015, with my Sony Alpha SLT-a77V DSLR.

Bacon

While touring with a band I used to be in, most of the time we all stayed in our motorhome. And that meant that we provided our own meals to save money. I got to be the chef for the band. Here is some tasty bacon I cooked back on June 11th, 2015, when we were playing in Birmingham, Alabama.

One Spooky Night At The Broken Spoke Saloon

The band I was in at the time was touring the eastern half of the United States. This night's stop happened to be in Nashville, Tennessee. When we finished playing and got back to the hotel we were staying at, I went out looking for things to take pictures of. I saw this eerie scene in front of the hotel's restaurant and bar. Taken on July 3rd, 2015, with my Sony Alpha SLT-a77V DSLR.

BLT

While on tour with a band I used to be in, this is what I had to eat before a show we played in Birmingham, Alabama. It was a BLT on marbled rye bread. Taken on June 11th, 2015, with my Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W710.

Storm Panorama

While touring with a band I used to be in, we drove into this storm while returning from a show in Wisconsin. I used my camera's panoramic setting to capture it. Taken on June 7th, 2015, with my Sony Alpha SLT-a77V DSLR.

Rockin' Into The Night

This was me playing lead guitar at a gig back in 2000. We called it our "New Year's Eve Eve" show because it was the night before New Year's Eve. Pretty catchy, eh? It was taken with my camera by the other guitarist's girlfriend. Camera: Polaroid 200 Bf Film: Kodak Gold 100 ASA 35mm color film Date: December 30th, 2000 Location: Sims, Illinois, U.S.A. Playin' In A Travelin' Band

This was taken while I was a member of a band who I played bass guitar for. Their name was DoubleWide Debris and we toured around the Eastern United States in 2015. This picture was when we stopped for gas somewhere along the road. The film was well expired and turned out pretty grainy. The Who

25 Feb 2020 222
And I don't mean the World Health Organization. The Who has always been one of my favorite bands because they have a sense of humor. What other band would play somebody else's songs simply because their names were similar? The Who used to play songs by The Guess Who in their live sets - I always thought that was pretty cool. Crazy man, crazy. This is a button on my guitar strap. If you look close, you can see Ringo Starr's head at the bottom.

My band, Deuces Wild, had a gig last night, and here was the promo I did for it.

Raisin Jazz Trio

18 Jul 2015 5 1 349
Just three separate Raisins in my collection that I've posed together as a jazz trio. That's supposed to be Ol' Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra, himself singing, Red on the eighty-eights and a guitar player who I call Raisin Hendrix.
