Emergency!

There was just a major fire in my town, about six blocks from my house. A lumber store caught fire, with a gas station on either side of it at risk of burning. I saw fire trucks and emergency vehicles from a lot of the communities in this area. Fortunately, they were able to contain the fire and avert the possibility of one of the gas stations catching fire and going up in a big explosion. Firefighters are a special breed.

An old American LaFrance firetruck that recently appeared next to a local wrecking yard. I wonder what's going to happen to it? Will it be scrapped or rescued and restored?

This was a second ambulance that screamed past my house last Tuesday night, April 14th, 2020. There must have been an accident about a half mile from my house because I could see a lot of emergency vehicles.

My town's very first firetruck, a 1917 Ford Model T. They still have it. That's my Aunt and Uncle on it with their daughter and my nephew along for a ride.

Tonight's the night that we got the truck
We're goin' downtown gonna beat up drunks
Your turn to drive I'll bring the beer
It's the late, late shift no one to fear
And ride, ride how we ride.
