Rhys

Sunday afternoon at the surf club in Noosa. It was packed as the TV Today Show was in town and the hosts were expected there. I asked if we could use the spare seats at his table and he obliged. His friend Daniel came back with beers and we had a chat. I started taking photos and Rhys was happy to participate in my Strangers project. Later I took a few portraits of Rhys with the TV show hosts :-) Rhys was working up in Darwin for a while, and is now a Barber working in Noosa at Cartel. He has lived in Noosa before, and loves it. This is the 47th portrait in my 100 Strangers project.

50 Strangers

Halfway mark in my 100 Strangers project 29 May 2016. I started this project 12 March 2013. It is a challenge to photograph 100 strangers and also find out a little about them. To me this is an opportunity to present a cross section of the different and interesting people who live and work in this beautiful area. So far I have met people from Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, France, the Netherlands and the USA.

Flat Stanley in Australia

Flat Stanley is admiring the green and rolling hills of the Noosa Hinterland in Queensland. Flat Stanley has just arrived in Australia from my cousin Maia in England. It is Maia's school project, and I will be taking photos of Flat Stanley's holiday in Australia, and then sending him back to her. Flat Stanley is a 1964 children's book written by Jeff Brown. Today we were spray painting the places for fencing posts for the post hole digger.
