In our garden, New South Wales, Australia.
This Hibiscus only has one or two flowers at a time, as it is still quite a small shrub, but this time have managed to catch it at its peak.

This was an experiment with the Nikon 35mm, in comparison with the Canon 50mm
Here we have round, octagonal, and oval bokeh discs. With the Canon the result was octagonal.
Canon photo 50mm lens F2.5
Update 23 December Canon 50mm at F2 seems to be the optimum, but the 100mm F2 result was the best.

Took Angus, our Westie, for a summer haircut. Boy, did Rachel do a good job, sheared like a sheep. Very rural location, so took photos, of horses, cattle and a very fierce looking black bull.
Not to mention the boy himself, gorgeous Angus :-)
He didn't seem to be too keen on his Christmas red ribbon.

Bromeliad, native to Brazil. This was in a pot and we planted it in the garden a couple of weeks ago. It likes its new home and has produced four new flowers, which I only noticed on 23rd December. I took photos on 23rd and 24th, and liked this one best. For Mum :-)
