I didn't realise these were Tibouchina flowers until I moved closer. They are so tiny, clusters of them flowering all over the hillside in part of our street. New South Wales, Australia. Taken on 15th August, which marks the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII. Remembering my Dad, who served in WWII in North Africa and Italy, and my Mum's brother, who was KIA in Normandy.

2022 HFF :-) Sunday challenge... Favourite archive shot and why. 2018 - Our own garden design in Queensland. 2022 - We now live in New South Wales. . We had the posts concreted in by a landscaper, then we created our own fence. Meanwhile the crepe myrtles I planted earlier grew and blossomed. Now in December 2018, flowering again...

Barbara 16 December 1927 - 13 January 2016 My bright and beautiful Mum passed away peacefully at 2 am, Wednesday 13th January 2016, age 88. We will always love you and you will be in our hearts forever. If only we could turn back time.
