I would never have thought that Marsden Hartley would go with Gustav Klimt, but it just about does, doesn't it?

John lives in Indiana, so that's an Indiana map from an old atlas. Acrobat gal is (obviously) upside-down. Mail Art 2013 artistamp by Danielle Maret Pierce-Williams. Garden deco tape from Laughing Elephant.

The painting is so amazing, I didn't want to add much to this envelope handmade for me by Carroll W. Maybe she can tell us the artist's name?

envelope with three rocks

Envelope for Mandy R. Background is from a map of Ireland. There are labels and descriptions next to the three different rocks. Sanskrit word is "shānti" = inner peace, tranquility.

I would make more mail art envelopes if I wrote more letters. I would write more letters if I didn't write such loooong letters. But the only way I can write succinctly is if an editor gives me a strict word limit. =sigh= Return address and Bride of Frankenstein artistamp by Danielle Maret Pierce-Williams. Bananas artistamp ("The answer you seek is in an envelope") by Anna Banana. Yardstick tape from Laughing Elephant.

I signed up for a challenge called "A Month of Letters" , where you send out at least one letter or postcard every postal day in February. No big deal, right? I'm trying to make it at least one long letter a day, though. So far I've sent out four: this is the only one for which I scanned the envelope. Artistamps by Danielle Maret Pierce-Williams (Bride of Frankenstein), Terra Candella (colorful abstract), I-forget-the-artist's-name at Red Fox Press (alternative?), and GinaVisione (Dangerous Mail Art). Little mailbox photo over address is from Mandy Fariello. Gorgeous deco tape on back (the shiny gold doesn't scan well) also handmade by Danielle. Are any of you out there into writing and receiving loooong letters—about thoughts, reflections, emotions...not just chatty news? If so, drop me a line! You can either write straight to the address for me on the envelope, or enter your postal address (you can leave the rest blank) in my address book (don't worry: only I can see it).

Another handmade envelope from Carroll W. Plus Posca acrylic paint pen, washi tape, and stickers by Glen Barr.

envelope for gena

"Mail Art 2013" stamp by Danielle Maret Pierce-Williams. Kurt Vonnegut stamp by the incomparable WackyStuff. Paper tape by 7 Gypsies. Air mail sticker from Laughing Elephant. Letters of "GENA" from StickerBomb's alphabet book. That picture is not from an actual moon landing. It's a still from the James Bond flick "Diamonds are Forever," for which they created a moon landing set (fake, in the plot) for Sean Connery—dressed in perfectly tailored suit and tie, of course—to run around on.

envelope for Rick (front & back)

This is me being restrained. Rick doesn't know much about handmade envies and mail art and suchlike things. I don't want to scare him. But I must love the guy, because I used four (count 'em!) four of my beloved & irreplaceable dinosaur stickers from Slovenia.
