Chiesa di San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore, Milan. There were many beautiful paintings to take in. I spent a lot of time looking closely, searching for little details and interesting sub stories.

This church was our most unexpected find in Milan. As this was not our first time here, we wanted to locate sights that were less on the tourist trail. The vivid murals and frescoes in the church, predominantly biblical stories, were astoundingly beautiful. This should not be a less visited place.

Madonna degli Angeli. We were the only people up there, and so even just to be somewhere the crowds weren't going was a plus. The state of abandonment made me feel a bit sad, especially to see that some visitors had chosen to graffiti right over the top of centuries old paintings. Even in there decaying state, or maybe because of that, they deserve respect.
