Sharjah is home to a number of interesting and varied museums. The art museum was a highlight. Having only a handful of pieces for each era kept the experience from feeling crowded or overwhelming. The mix of modern and contemporary pieces was an excellent taster.

Our upstairs room received a new paint job, and new colour scheme. Jo had plans for the ceiling, and through a friend, we were introduced to a local artist who came and did an amazing "flourish" in each corner. We love the result.

Not far from Pennapiedimonte, on one of the main walking trails, this fantastically detailed rock carving pays tribute to the locals and their lifestyles.

A mixture of music, light, and video brought this character through a range of incredible stages. It stirred emotions - Jo commenting that she found some of it disturbing. Job done, then, from the artist's perspective.
