Saturday 11 March 2017 (1127) – National Express added six Caetano Boa Vista bodied Scania K410UD6 double deck coaches to the fleet in September 2016 to operate the London-Luton Airport service A1. CD03 (BV66 WPL) is named ‘Kier’. It was seen in Elizabeth Street with the iconic art-deco building of Victoria Coach Station forming a backcloth. The coach station was opened on 10 March 1932 and was celebrating its 85th anniversary this weekend.

Saturday 11 March 2017 (1015) – Victoria Coach Station, London opened on 10 March 1932. This photo shows the coach entrance facing out to Semley Place. Waiting for instructions to move onto a loading stand is National Express CD01 (BV66 WPJ), one of the six Caetano Boa Vista bodied Scania K410UD6 double deck coaches new in September 2016 to operate the London-Luton Airport service A1. CD01 is named ‘Paul’. On the right is Airport Bus Express BX65 WBF, a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K440, which was loading for its service A20 to Stansted Airport. I suspect it would normally have loaded in one of the bays (1-4) being occupied by the preserved coaches taking part in the 85th anniversary event.

Saturday 11 March 2017 (1323) – Victoria Coach Station, London with three of National Express’s own Caetano Levantes poised to depart at 1330 on airport services. My coach back to Stansted was SH203 (BG65 TGJ) seen here in the centre of the trio which was working service A7. On the left is 133 (FJ11 MJV) bound for Gatwick on service A3 and right is 119 (FJ11 MKK) bound for Luton Airport on service A1.

SH203 (BG65 TGJ), a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K440, working the 1330 service A7 from London Victoria to Stansted Airport. Another Levante was joining the M11 and having done so seemed to leave us standing despite our decent pace.

Saturday 11 March 2017 (1511) – National Express SH203 (BG65 TGJ) unloading at Stansted Airport having worked the 1330 service A7 from London (Victoria). The service is scheduled to take 1 hour 40 minutes so we were just on time despite quite a few hold ups until we reached the A13 beyond Blackwall.
