June 1980 – Bickers of Coddenham BDV 244C, an Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol SUL new in February 1966 to Southern National, seen outside the Blue Coat Boy in Old Cattle Market (Dogs Head Street), Ipswich loading for a return trip on service 7. Bickers sold their bus business to Ipswich Buses in later years.

Friday 18 November 1983 – Bickers of Coddenham VPT 673L loading in Ipswich bus station (St. Stephen’s Lane). It was a Plaxton bodied AEC Reliance that had been new to Gillett Brothers of Quarrington Hill, County Durham in August 1972. When Gillett sold their business to United Automobile Services this bus entered the United fleet.
