Saturday 4 September 1999 – Jersey, Channel Islands. Left is Pioneer Coaches, 24 (J 75167), a Reeve Burgess bodied Dodge/Renault S56, new to Mainline (Sheffield area, England) as their 182 (E182 UWF) in September 1987. Right is Tantivy Blue Coach Tours 124 (J 50237), a Volkswagen Caravelle mini-bus that had been new to Mascot Motors in 1989.
A 2019 update to this photograph. Pioneer Coaches was taken over by Tantivy Blue in November 2000. This parking area has now been redeveloped and is home to a number of low rise office buildings occupied by different financial companies. Castle Street runs to the right and the direction sign points to the harbour/ferry terminal. The roundabout now includes an underpass. Quite a large area beyond the roundabout has been infilled and features numerous apartment blocks, a leisure complex and marina.

Saturday 4 September 1999 – Pioneer Coaches, Jersey, Channel Islands 6 (J 14679), a Wadham Stringer Vanguard bodied Bedford SB3 dating from 1986. Whilst the Wadham Stringer Vanguard body and the Bedford SB chassis were both very popular with Jersey operators, it was less common to have the combination fitted together. At the time of this visit most of the coaches with the Vanguard body were fitted to Leyland Swift chassis and the Bedford SB chassis more commonly had a Duple Dominant bodywork.

The three coaches on the far left carry the Tantivy Motors colours as used prior to the merger that created Tantivy Blue Coach Tours in November 1996. Second from the left is 65 (J 62568) and third from the left is 48 (64438). Then is a Pioneer coach in black and white livery; Tantivy Blue 61 (J 64346) in a white livery; Tantivy Blue 46 (J 10569) in blue; Tantivy Blue 56 (J 86601) in white livery with blue and red stripes; and finally Waverley Coaches 14 (J27414) in the company’s yellow and white livery.
A 2019 update to this photograph. The parking area has now been redeveloped and is home to a number of low rise office buildings occupied by different financial companies. The wall along the background remains as it is a listed building beyond which is now the Liberty Wharf Shopping Centre. Go through the arch above the blue coach to initially enter Marks and Spencer's food store.
