Saturday 21 September 1985 - Premier Travel Services 301 (GFL 527Y), a Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied Leyland Tiger new in 1983, was fitted with a drivers sleeping compartment under the passenger floor area accessed from a trap door just ahead of the rear nearside wheel.

In the rear offside corner there was a sunken toilet compartment accessed by steps which also served the rear emergency door. On top of the toilet compartment was a drinks dispenser. (Ref 25-19)

Saturday 21 September 1985 - Premier Travel Services 301 (GFL 527Y), a Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied Leyland Tiger new in 1983, which out of the blue I was asked to drive from Premier Park to Wickham Market near Woodbridge and bring back a coach with a faulty entrance door. Driving this coach was in itself a treat but the coach I had to drive back was even more so in the form of Premier’s one and only Leyland Royal Tiger Doyen 315 (C519 KFL)! At the time Premier worked the United States Air Force contract providing a link from RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge to Heathrow Airport (and possibly Gatwick too but I am not sure - one or two coaches being outstationed at Wickham Market for the work with the driver(s) living locally). I took a moment to pull off the main road near Saxham to get some photos of the event! (Ref 25-15)
