Saturday 22 November 2014 (1241) - A suspected gas leak somewhere in the Arc Shopping Centre, Bury St. Edmunds caused the closure of the area and of St. Andrews Street South for the most of the afternoon on this rather busy pre-Christmas shopping Saturday. Even though the shops were quickly evacuated and locked up the street itself didn't get closed for a while afterwards. Among the last buses to travel through after the arrival of the fire engine was Mulleys Motorways BMC Falcon AE55 NYM working town service M88. In this photo the bus was held up until the fire engine cautiously reversed into Auction Street.
