Monday 23 May 2011 (1548) - Norfolk Green 317 (YJ10 EYA), an Optare Solo Slimline new in 2009, seen in Holkham when working the 1438 Cromer to Kings Lynn Coasthopper service. This popular service is about 55 miles long and serves many towns, villages, holiday spots and countryside attractions along the North Norfolk coastal road. On paper it is divided into three sections (Section 1: Kings Lynn-Hunstanton; section 2: Hunstanton-Wells; and section 3 Wells-Cromer) although I believe most buses run through. The bus is named ‘Thomas William Coke’. Coke (1754–1842) was a British politician and agricultural reformer. Holkham Hall, a couple of miles west of Wells-next-the-Sea, was at the heart of the Coke family estate and the bus carries a rear advert for the Hall and its attractions. I had just travelled from Wells on this bus.
