Thursday 2 June 1988 - Fairly typical of how continental bus companies and local authorities organise bus service interchange sees four buses together at Knebel, Denmark. Two DSB (Danske Statsbaner - Danish State Railways) Aabenraa bodied Volvo B58-60s are flanked by DAB bodied Leylands of two local independents, the latter pair working in opposite directions on Ebeltoft local service 1. The DSB buses are 607 (EL 92 566) (bound for Helgenaes) and 612 (EL 52 954) (bound for Aarhus). On the left R Rugaard's DX 99 628, a DAB serie 4 bodied Leyland that had been new to Aahrus Sporveje as their 225 (DX94456) in November 1976. Right is Sechers Rutebiler 4 (JP 94 487), a DAB serie 7 bodied Leyland new September 1984.

Holiday Monday 23 May 1988 - DSB (Danske Statsbaner - Danish State Railways) bus travelling towards Skødshoved, a small coastal resort close to the Mols hills which is a popular destination where the city dwellers escape to whenever they can. Quite likely the bus would be either 606 (EL 92 559) or 607 (EL 92 566), both Volvo B58-60 with Aabenraa bodywork new in May 1978, which were omnipresent in the area during my holiday.

Service 361 linked Rønde-Knebel-Knebelbro-Helgenæs seven days a week but the link between Knebelbro and Skødshoved operated on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays only plus one inward Friday evening journey. This area is popular for holiday recreation featuring many summer houses that the city dwellers escape to whenever they can.

Saturday 28 May 1988 - DSB (Danske Statsbaner - Danish State Railways) 960 (JJ 92 037) seen at Ebeltoft Ferry Terminal working service 217. It is a Volvo B10M-60 with DAB bodywork new in October 1983. In 1997 it passed to Combus and in 2001 to Connex. Retired in 2002 it was sold to a Russian company.
