A Saturday in November 1995 (0905) – Two vehicles of Neal’s Travel of Isleham seen at King Street, Mildenhall.
Reeve Burgess bodied Leyland Swift G642 WMG, working a private hire, stands in front Marshall SPV bodied Mercedes-Benz of M373 VER, working the Mildenhall town service. Neal’s operated this and services to Beck Row and West Row six days a week for a number of years.
This view was taken from the disabled parking spaces in the car park. The brick wall to the right of the signboard was the original entrance to the car park. Once this was closed off it gave a little extra room for the buses and coaches parked in the lay-by.
The 'No Buses' road sign has been turned through 180 degrees and was once in place to prohibit PSVs from entering the car park. Now superfluous it should have been removed when the entrance was closed off.
