Friday 22 May 2015 (1240) - Ipswich Buses 172 (YG52 DGE) leaving the Tesco Store near the London Road Park & Ride site on service 13. An Optare Excel new in October 2002.

Friday 22 May 2015 (1100) - Ipswich Buses 173 (YG52 DGF) leaving Tower Ramparts bus station. An Optare Excel new in October 2002 which carries an earlier livery.

Thursday 26 April 2012 (0930) - Simonds Coaches Optare Excel JGV 929 seen at Bury St Edmunds now wearing fleet livery. It was acquired from Carters Coach Services of Ipswich in March 2011 and operated in Carters colours for around one year before the repaint. It was actually new to Ipswich Buses as their 192 (P192 SGV) in June 1997.

Thursday 26 April 2012 (0930) - Simonds Coaches Optare Excel JGV 929 seen at Bury St Edmunds now wearing fleet livery. It was acquired from Carters Coach Services of Ipswich in March 2011 and operated in Carters colours for around one year before the repaint. It was actually new to Ipswich Buses as their 192 (P192 SGV) in June 1997.

Saturday 18 June 2011 (0851) - Simonds Coaches added this Optare Excel to their fleet during March 2011 which had since taken on registration number JGV 929. It was new to Ipswich Buses in June 1997 as P192 SGV but was acquired from Carters Coach Services of Ipswich in whose colours it carries in this photograph. Seen at Bury St Edmunds.

Friday 23 May 2014 (1241) - An interesting rear end advertisement for a one day only excursion carried by Simonds of Botesdale/Diss JGV 929. A most enterprising and bespoke advert. Bus adverts are usually compiled with greater longevity than for something so topical that would very soon be be out of date. JGV 929 is an Optare Excel which was new to Ipswich Buses as P192 SGV in June 1997 although acquired by Simonds from Carters Coaches.

Tuesday 5 April 2011 (1421) - Norfolk Green 205 (P190 SGV), an Optare Excel new to Ipswich Buses in 1997, seen in Kings Lynn bus station working on the ‘Fairstead One’ service. The bus is named Wally Glynn, a local man involved in the Fairstead ‘Do something different’ health project.

Tuesday 5 April 2011 (1420) - Norfolk Green buses in Kings Lynn bus station. Left is Optare Solo 609 (X384 VVY), new in February 2001 to Wright of Goring-on-Thames, working ‘North Lynn Too!’ service (play on words Too = 2). Right is 205 (P190 SGV), an Optare Excel new to Ipswich Buses in 1997, on the ‘Fairstead One’ service.
