Tuesday 11 June 1996 - KMP Coaches of Llanberis, North Wales was a contractor to Bus Éireann operating on the Eurolines branded services linking England and Ireland via the port of Holyhead in North Wales. J117 NJT is seen leaving the old National Express coach station at Digbeth, Birmingham when working the 0800 service 875 from London to Dublin. Eurolines livery and Bus Eireann fleetnames are carried.

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx 0855) - This secondhand acquisition by Bus Éireann is particularly interesting. It is the solitary GAC/CIÉ bus built in 1980 for United Automobile Services in England (Fleet number 1501 (C529 XEF))

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx 0905) - Bus Éireann KR145 (PZV 145), a GAC RB service bus, leaving Busáras in Dublin. The destination blind reads Galway. In the main coaches would normally work this service - perhaps it was a duplicate?

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx 1440) - Bus Éireann KR220 (87 D 2220), a GAC RB service bus, seen parked near Connolly railway station close to Busáras in Dublin.

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx 0950) - Once part of the CIÉ (Córas Iompair Éireann) fleet of Leyland Leopard PSU5/4R buses, Bus Éireann MD159 (159 IK) dated from April 1972 and was seen here a mere 24 years later in Busáras, Dublin having worked the service from Dundalk via Drogheda.

Saturday 11 May 1996 (1440) - Bus Éireann PD54 (91 D 10054), a Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied DAF M230LB615, parked near Connolly Rail Station and Busáras in Dublin. Destination shows as Doire which is Derry/Londonderry in English.

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx 0925) - Bus Éireann is a subsidiary of Córas Iompair Éireann, Ireland's national transport company. The CIE name, once carried on all the buses, coaches and trains, was replaced by three different operating companies Dublin Bus (in the capital), Bus Éireann (provincial bus and coach services) and Iarnrod Eireann (trains) although the name 'CIE Tours International' was retained for the incoming tours business. That identity is carried by Bus Éireann VP14 (96 D 25743), a 1996 Plaxton Premiere bodied Volvo B10M, seen in Busáras, Dublin.

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx 1420) - Bus Éireann VP5 (95 D 41605), a Plaxton Premiere bodied Volvo B10M, seen loading at Busáras, Dublin for the 1430 service 032 to Letterkenny (due 1835). The journey involves two border crossings as the route enters and leaves Northern Ireland along the way.

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx 0840) - A pair of Bus Éireann Caetano Algarve bodied Volvo B10M coaches on the loading stands at Busáras in Dublin. Left is VC10 (94 D 21826) carrying Bus Eireann livery ready to work the 0900 service to Galway. Right is VC14 (94 D 23653) carrying Eurolines livery working the 0900 service to Ballina. I believe the latter had originated in London, England departing 2000 the previous evening.

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx 0935) - Bus Éireann CVH24 (SI 2024), a 1986 Van Hool T815A integral, seen parked on bay 1 in Busáras, Dublin. In the background is Plaxton Premiere bodied Volvo B10M VP14 carrying CIE Tours International livery.

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx 1450) - Bus Éireann DVH19 (93 D 20684), a Van Hool Alizee bodied DAF MB230, seen in Store Street, Dublin just outside Busáras bus and coach station. It had recently arrived as the 1120 non stop service from Limerick (arrival in Dublin at 1430).

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx 0900) - Bus Éireann TE21 (89 D 21921), an Alexander TE bodied Leyland Tiger, seen at rest near Connolly Railway Station close to Busáras in Dublin. The Luas tramway enters Connolly along this former roadway nowadays.

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx 0915) - Bus Éireann VP16 (96 D 25740), a Plaxton Premiere 350 bodied Volvo B10M, takes on its last passengers in Store Street, Dublin outside Busáras working as far as Kilkenny as a duplicate on the Clonmel service 007. Plaxton Paramount bodied Leyland Tiger PL111 (90 D 46354) had just emerged from the exit of Busáras. It was new to Shearings as G842 RNC.

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx 0905) - Bus Éireann PD39 (91 D 10039), a Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied DAF, leaving Busáras in Dublin working the 0900 service 004 to Dungarvan (due 1250).
