Northern Counties bodied Volvo Olympian R273 LGH had been one of the first double deckers transferred from Hedingham to Chambers a short time before this photograph was taken. The livery is basically that of Hedingham with the Hedingham fleetnames removed but now with the large Chambers name. The bus was new to London Central as their number NV73 in February 1998.
Rural operators of double deckers battle with over hanging trees on their services and a small piece of branch can be seen hanging from the tree defences of this bus.
