Monday 23 May 2011 (1216) - Norfolk Green 318 (YJ10 EYB), an Optare Solo Slimline new in 2010, seen in Burnham Overy Staithe. It was heading towards Wells-next-the-Sea and Cromer on the 1138 service from Hunstanton. The popular Coasthopper service links Kings Lynn with Cromer along the North Norfolk coastal road. The service is, on paper, divided into three sections (Section 1: Kings Lynn-Hunstanton; section 2: Hunstanton-Wells; and section 3 Wells-Cromer) although I believe most buses run through.

Monday 10 August 2009 (1503) – Norfolk Green (Go-West Travel Ltd) Optare Solo 311 (YJ09 LBA), new 2009, seen in Hunstanton Bus Station when working the 1505 service 35 to Kings Lynn. It had just arrived as the 1308 ‘Coasthopper’ service from Cromer (due here at 1500). The six new Solos are named, 311 after one of Norfolk’s most famous sons Admiral Lord Nelson who was born not far from Hunstanton. Carrying a newly revised ‘Coasthopper’ livery.

Monday 10 August 2009 (1504) – Two buses of Norfolk Green (Go-West Travel Ltd) seen in Hunstanton Bus Station. Optare Solo 311 (YJ09 LBA), new 2009, was working the 1505 service 35 to Kings Lynn. It had just arrived as the 1308 ‘Coasthopper’ service from Cromer (due here at 1500). The six new Solos are named, 311 after one of Norfolk’s most famous sons, Admiral Lord Nelson who was born at Burnham Thorpe a village about 13 miles from Hunstanton. Carrying a newly revised ‘Coasthopper’ livery. In the background is Plaxton Beaver bodied Mercedes-Benz Vario 415 (S154 NNH) (new late 1998/early 1999), acting as the crew changeover waiting room, carries the old style ‘Coasthopper’ livery .

It had arrived from Kings Lynn as the 1425 service 35 and about to continue as the 1510 service to Cromer (due 1700). These services are a through working on the ‘Coasthopper’ service. Each Solo carries the name of a person who has lived on or near the Norfolk coast. 312 is named Sylvia Townsend Warner, after the novelist and poet who once lived at Salthouse, a village on the ‘Coasthopper’ route.

Monday 23 May 2011 (1548) - Norfolk Green 317 (YJ10 EYA), an Optare Solo Slimline new in 2009, seen in Holkham when working the 1438 Cromer to Kings Lynn Coasthopper service. This popular service is about 55 miles long and serves many towns, villages, holiday spots and countryside attractions along the North Norfolk coastal road. On paper it is divided into three sections (Section 1: Kings Lynn-Hunstanton; section 2: Hunstanton-Wells; and section 3 Wells-Cromer) although I believe most buses run through. The bus is named ‘Thomas William Coke’. Coke (1754–1842) was a British politician and agricultural reformer. Holkham Hall, a couple of miles west of Wells-next-the-Sea, was at the heart of the Coke family estate and the bus carries a rear advert for the Hall and its attractions. I had just travelled from Wells on this bus.
