Thursday 18 September 2014 (0959) - Grant Palmer Limited W134 WGT seen in Kimbolton operating service 28. It had arrived on the 0910 departure from Bedford (via Ravensden, Thurleigh, Riseley, Swineshead, Upper Dean, Lower Dean and Tilbrook) and returned to Bedford on the 1000 service from here (via Pertenhall, Swineshead, Riseley, Bletsoe, Thurleigh and Ravensden). In order to provide service to/from some of the smaller villages the outward trip will simultaneously set down and pick-up. For example, passengers from say Upper and Lower Dean to Bedford would board the 'outward' journey and continue across Kimbolton. Passengers from Bedford to Bletsoe on this trip would also travel across Kimbolton. Different routings over the day allow passengers to select which may be the shortest bus ride. A Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart new to Wimco (Mitcham Belle) in June 2000.

The impressive building behind the wall in the background is the gateway to Kimbolton Castle, the home of the famous Kimbolton School, and was built in the 1760s. Henry VIII's first wife, Katherine of Aragon, died at the Castle in 1536 around the time the school was founded albeit in a different part of the village.
