The sun rising over Manhattan

Took off from Sussex, NJ just after dawn in a Bellanca Citabria and joined the Hudson north of the GW Bridge and followed the Hudson down to the southern tip of Manhattan and then up the East River to the first bridge where we had to do a steep about turn staying over the river, to retrace our steps. Thrilling to see the Statue of Liberty face-to-face from just a few hundred feet abeam her - we circled her after flying by Ellis Island.
