Stars of the catch for 29 May 2014. One of our larger moths, this is not the usual view, you can see that furry body. This is a male. You can see those huge antenna, and the lovely color of of the veins in the wings.

Stars of the catch for 29 May 2014. Not the usual resting position for this moth, the larger the moth the more time they take to warm the muscles for flight. So they open like this then vibrate for a bit before taking off. You can see through the lower ends of his wings, this is actually normal for this species.
