The sunlight coming through the wings gives this Moth a false brown/golden color, so the ID is based on the mark on the wing, which turns upward in the Golden Y moth.

I keep hoping to find a Golden Y, but even though this little guy looks very golden colored the marking still say Silver Y.

These are everywhere the Silver Y, very common here all summer really, but I liked watching them feeding at night.
