I chatted to one of the monks for about half an hour, about life, the meaning of Buddhism, and why Buddha is portrayed with fingers all the same length. He was an interesting and well spoken man.

As a Buddhist you earn merit by providing food for all the monks at this monastery. It is such a prestigious monastery that they have a donor every day. On this day it was one of the Myanmar government ministers and his family. There was a TV crew there to record it all.
