View to an 'easy four-thousand-metre peak' from the Gornergrat . Easy because the starting point of its climb - the Small Matterhorn - (3,883 metres of altitude) is accessible by cable car. Once there, steps lead up about 15 metres to a weather cross. At the top, however, one seriously wonders whether one is really qualified for high-altitude touring. (But the idea has not yet been shelved). ~~~~~ Blick vom Gornergrat auf einen 'leichten Viertausender' . Leicht, weil der Ausgangspunkt seiner Besteigung - das Kleine Matterhorn (3.883 m) per Seilbahn erreichbar ist. Von der Bergstation führen Stufen etwa 15 Meter hoch zum Gipfelkreuz. Oben angekommen überlegt man sich aber ernsthaft, ob man wirklich hochtourengeeignet ist. (Noch ist der Plan aber nicht ad acta gelegt.) ~~~~~
