A psychedelic representation of VW's Mk2 Scirocco based on a photograph of my own car ... enough colour for you folks?

Thought I'd upload a shot of Lily, my old Scirocco to celebrate the fact that, as of yesterday, she's now officially back on the road for the summer season. This shot wasn't taken this year though, instead it was one of a series I did when she was last out back in September 2014 prior to going off the road for the winter.

I had so much fun with this week's Sunday Challenge , which had the theme of selective colouring , that I ended up with several possibles. Here's another of those that didn't get used. This one is a shot I took of my Mk2 Scirocco after attending a show at Raby Castle, County Durham. The selective colouring here is very subtle so you might need to look for it ... the building in the background was on the outer edge of the castle grounds so I'm guessing it's some kind of old gatehouse.

Took advantage of being one of the last to leave to get a shot of my car parked up in front of the Heaves Hotel.

I liked the juxtaposition of the Mk3 parked alongside Lily!

Time to start another show album, this time for Durham Dubs 2010. This was the first show I took Lily to. We'd only had her for a few days and it was a chance to meet up with some other folks from the Scirocco Register.

Managed to get a couple of guys from the Scirocco Register to come along to this one. So for once Lily wasn't the only one there!

Okay, time to start another album. This time it's the Durham Classic Vehicle Show, which took place at Witton Castle, County Durham in 2011.

Thought I'd finish this album off with another shot of my Scirocco, once again parked right by the track. Really pleased to get the opportunity to have the stand in the shot, as I think it makes for an interesting backdrop.

Okay, time to step back in time again and get another album up and running ... this time for the Ripon Autumn Classic in 2011.

Now then. Depending on how and when you're viewing my work this may or may not be the last in photo in the album, but it is certainly the last of the general shots from this show to be uploaded. Hope you've enjoyed what you've seen.
