When in Sydney it's really hard to avoid the usual shots of the two great landmarks, the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. So I tried doing it from the waterside, on a ferry to Taronga Zoo, and in b/w. The weather also helped, for it was a fantastic day with sunshine and great big fluffy cumulus clouds in the sky. I'm not actually a wildlife photographer, so regard this as a lucky one-off. These cockatoos presented themselves to me on a silver platter (of sorts, it was not really made of silver but full of birdseed to lure them to this place). This shot was taken in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, near Echo Point, from where you have a good view of the Three Sisters, that famous rock formation.
