Vassiliki is the archaeological site of a Minoan settlement strategically located in the isthmus of Ierapetra, about 3 kilometres north of the Cretan Sea and 9.5 kilometres south of the Levantine Sea. Minoan Vassiliki was built between 2650 and 2450 BC and existed until 1700 and 1600 BC. The settlement was destroyed by fire and rebuilt several times.
